Localization
Localization is a must when a global message needs to be conveyed and received fluently and naturally in a local language. Translation and localization go hand in hand to integrate the cultural characteristics of target markets.
Some localization tasks include engineering building, environment replication, source control and life management, dialog resizing, building and test iterations, bug regression and virus- free mastering, translation of user interface components, translation of user assistance features, quality assurance, and testing of compatibility, functionality, usability, internationalization, among others.
We at Outland Translations apply a GILT (Globalization-Internationalization-Localization-Translation) process to all our projects to deliver prime-quality products that will enable the client to exponentially reduce costs. This is accomplished by properly internationalizing contents before implementing localization tasks.
Most common types of localization:
Software Localization- We adapt interface elements with the help of linguists and translators as required by target markets. Software is culturally and technically localized for the right user in the right context.
Website Internationalization/Localization- We adjust website content so that it can be easily deployed into various languages/variants and add regionally and locally relevant elements.
Mobile App Localization- We accommodate mobile app content to various markets to make them seem natural to a particular region. This may include translating user interface text, adjusting number and date formats, refining graphics, among others.
We support most localization tools such as: Source Files, Binary File, Dialog Box, Resizing, Build, Compilation, Testing and Quality Assurance, Screen Capture, Crystal Reports, among others.
